A varied selection of exciting destinations awaits the visitor to Ethiopia. National parks include the scenic Simien and Bale Mountains, with their wealth of endemic wildlife, while historical sites range from the atmospheric rock-hewn churches of Lalibela to the towering stelae of Aksum and castles in Gondar.

Day 01 Arrive Addis Ababa
Arrival at Addis Ababa airport meet, assist and transfer to hotel.
Today we will have full day sightseeing tour of the capital which includes the Ethnological Museum in the former palace of King Hailesillassie, the National (Archaeological) Museum, the superb Holy Trinity Cathedral, the various historical monuments of Addis Ababa; and Merkato largest open‐air market in Africa. Overnight at hotel.

Day 02 Addis Ababa – Awassa(By Road) (275 kms / 04 hrs 40 min appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to Awassa en route visit some of Debrezeit (Bishoftu) crater Lakes such as Hora, Babogaya, and Kuriftu. Continue driving throught the great Rift valley lakes, Langano and Abijatta‐Shalla and the town of Awassa, the capital city of the southern region, which is very popular in fish market and its volcanic lake. The rift contains a marvelous series of lakes, which are teeming with fish and provide a habitat for hundreds of species of birds. On the way we pass 4 of the lakes. Awassa is located on the edge of Lake Awassa, surrounded by mountains. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03 Awassa – Arbaminch(By Road) (225 kms / 04 hrs 30 min appx.)
After breakfast, we drive through one of the most colorful and scenic areas of Southern Ethiopia, a land that is inhabited by the people of the Sidamo, the Alaba, who were once nomads but are now farmers. A long section of the road offers magnificent views of Lake Abaya, surrounded by mountains. The lake has volcanic origins and is almost pink in color. Today we visit the Dorze village, one of the many small group of tribes in southern Ethiopia. Once warriors, the Dorze are now turned to farming and weaving to earn a living. Overnight at lodge.

Day 04 Arbaminch – Turmi(By Road) (250 kms / 04 hrs 30 min appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to Turmi en route meet the people of Konso and their villages. The cornerstone of Konso culture is a highly specialized and successful agricultural economy. Meet the people, take photographs and learn of a culture that has very little outside influence and continue to Turmi. We will visit the weekly market of the Hamer and Bena in KeyAfer Market (Thursday Market) a highlight of Omo Valley where all the ethnic tribes come to shop. The market is exciting and you may have the opportunity to buy some of the tribal regalia and artifacts. On the way we will visit the Tsemai tribes in Woito. Overnight at lodge.

Day 05 Turmi‐ Jinka-Turmi (116 kms / 01 hrs 55 min appx.-ONE WAY)
After breakfast, proceed to Omo rate crossing the Omo River by boat to visit the Galab village in the bank of the lower Omo valley. One of a small group of the Omo Valley tribes, called Dasanach. We also visit the Hamer tribes in Turmi area. In the Second day we will visit one of the colourful markets in the Omo Valley, Dimeka Market and continue to Jinka for a visit of the Ari people and villages. Overnight at lodge.

Day 06 Turmi‐ Jinka (By Road) (116 kms / 01 hrs 55 min appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to Omo Rate crossing the Omo River by boat to visit the Galab village in the bank of the lower Omo valley. One of a small group of the Omo Valley tribes, called Dasanach. We also visit the Hamer tribes in Turmi area. In the Second day we will visit one of the colourful markets in the Omo Valley, Dimeka Market and continue to Jinka for a visit of the Ari people and villages. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07 Jinka ‐ Arba Minch (By Road) (366 kms / 06 hrs 20 min appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to visit the Ari villages, their neat compounds, fertile and scenic surrounds drive to Konso. En route visit the weekly small colorful market of Key Afer to see the Bena and Tsemay tribes and proceed driving to Konso. The Konso with 9 different clans have a tradition of nominating their own King who has got his own Place to live and also servants to work for. He is a symbol of peace and integrity among the Konso with unique dynastical line going on for many hundreds of years. The Konso have a clean, well, built and protected villages with each village having a communal house of living called “Mora” where young boys spend the night protecting the village. They have also a tradition of age initiation for boys to advance from child hood to adult hood. The Konso are very much known for having a wooden made grave sign called “Waka”. Take time of picture and visit in the village then drive to Arba Minch. Overnight at lodge.

Day 08 Arba Minch-Addis Ababa(By Road)(515 km/7H appx)/Dep. Addis Ababa
Drive to Addis Ababa via the rift valley lakes and visit the shopping centers in Addis Ababa. This day you will be transferred to onward destination.

– In Asia, there is no relevance between the distance and time of travelling, as it depends upon the condition of the roads and congestion of the traffic.
– While every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes etc that are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes.
– Clients must be fully insured, as the company cannot accept liability for loss or damage to client’s property, medical emergencies or any other loss suffered by them whilst on tour.
