Ghana, officially the Republic of Ghana, is a country along the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean, in the subregion of West Africa. Spanning a land mass of 238,535 km2, Ghana is bordered by the Ivory Coast in the west, Burkina Faso in the north, Togo in the east, the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic Ocean in the south. Ghana means “Warrior King” in the Soninke language.

Day 01 Arrive Accra By Flight
You will be met, assisted and transferred to your hotel.

Day 02 Accra
This day’s tour will take us through the principal streets of Accra to the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park which was named after the first President of Ghana, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. The park was formerly known as the Polo ground where Dr. Kwame Nkrumah stood to declare Independence for Ghana. It is the final resting place for the late President and his wife, Madam Fatia Nkrumah.
Continue your drive through Makola Market to the Old City of Accra, James Town. Learn about history and culture of the indigenes of the Gas.Other sites to visit are: The W.E.B. Du Bois, the Independence Square, the Arts and Crafts Bazaar where you will find all kinds of African products from beads, crafts, cloth etc, the national museum.
Stop at the National Theatre; see the “female and male “drums which are used during state ceremony.

Day 03 Accra – Cape Coast By Road
Depart for Cape Coast and Elmina, arriving late morning for a tour of Cape Coast before checking into your hotel. This afternoon visit Elmina Castle, a World Heritage site where slaves were held before being sent to the New World. This evening observe the colorful fishing boats in preparation for the usual overnight fishing expeditions.

Day 04 Cape Coast – Accra By Road
This morning travel to Kakum National Park. Kakum is one of Ghana’s most famous parks. Take a brief walking tour on the forest floor. Kakum is home to Africa’s only aerial walkway through the tree canopy, a 1000 foot long, seven-bridge walkway with viewing platforms that reach heights of over 150 feet above ground. This afternoon visit the Cape Coast Castle and the Castle Museum for a guided tour. Cape Coast Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and home to the “Door of No Return”.

Day 05 Cape Coast – Accra By Road / Depart Accra By Flight
After breakfast depart to Accra. Arrive for your last shopping. You a transferred to the airport for your flight back home.

– In Asia, there is no relevance between the distance and time of travelling, as it depends upon the condition of the roads and congestion of the traffic.
– While every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes etc that are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes.
– Clients must be fully insured, as the company cannot accept liability for loss or damage to client’s property, medical emergencies or any other loss suffered by them whilst on tour.
– In Case of issuing Domestic or International air tickets, SGV is not responsible for any refund if the flight is delayed or cancelled, as it is the responsibility of airline.
