This Azerbaijan takes you from the mishmash capital of Baku, with its ancient and very, very modern buildings, to the nearby Absheron Peninsula, with its Temple of the Fire Worshippers and mud volcanoes.
Day 01 Arrive Baku
Arrive at Baku, meet assist and Transfer to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 02 Baku
After breakfast, proceed to medieval fortress of Old Baku – “Icheri Sheher” “Maiden Tower” the Complex of Shirvan Shakhs’ Palace , medieval Caravansaraies XIV-XVII cc., medieval market square, handmade carpet’s workshop art studio, the Carpet Museum, the Temple of Fire Worshippers’ “Ateshgah” the flaming mountain “Yanardag” and Mardakan tower. Overnight at hotel.
Day 03 Gobustan – Shamakhy-Gabala (128 kms / 2H appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to Sightseeing the pre-historical rock paintings museum in the open air in Gobustan, “Diri Baba” mausoleum in Gobustan village, historical mosque “Juma” and mausoleum of Seven Domes (“Yeddi Gumbez”) in Shamakhy. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04 Gabala-Sheki (89 kms / 1H 17M appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to Sheki Sightseeing Muganly passing, photo stops on the most beautiful places in the mountains, ruins of the capital of ancient Caucasian Albania near Gabala city, the medieval fortress in Sheki, the Sheki Khans’ palace, the museum of history , the handicrafts workshop, the mosque Madrasah, panoramic view of Sheki. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 05 Depart Sheki
Departure transfer to onward destination.
