Romania is a southeastern European country known for the forested region of Transylvania, ringed by the Carpathian Mountains. Its preserved medieval towns include Sighisoara, and there are many fortified churches and castles, notably clifftop Bran Castle, long associated with the Dracula legend. Bucharest, the country’s capital, is the site of the gigantic, Communist-era Palatul Parlamentului government building.

Day 01 Bucharest – Sinaia – Brasov (176 Kms / 2H 51M appx.)
Arrival at Bucharest airport meet assist and leave the city on the route to Sinaia. Visit the Peles Castle, former summer residence of the Romanian kings. Peles castle is considered one of the best castles in Europe. End the day in Brasov with a visit of the medieval center of Brasov, The main sites are: Council Square, Black Chuch, White and Black Towers, Weaver’s Bastion and Ecaterina’s Gate, St Nicholas Church, The Rope’s street, a.s.o. Overnight at Brasov.

Day 02 Brasov – Prejmer – Brasov (306 Kms / 3H 55M appx.)
After breakfast, proceed to explore the saxon heritages from the area. First stop at Prejmer Fortress, one of the best preserved of its kind in Eastern Europe The church is modeled after churches of Jerusalem, as well as built in the style of Late Gothic churches from the main sights: Clock Tower and History Museum, Birth place of Vlad Tepes Vlad the Impaler, Covered stairs, Church on the Hill, towers and fortifications. Return to Brasov. On the route can also be admired old saxon villages, the Rupea Citadel, the Saschiz Chuch, the Saschiz Citadel. Overnight at Brasov.

Day 03 Brasov – Hunedoara – Sibiu – Brasov (541 Kms / 6H 45M appx.)
After breakfast, today it is a long drive therefore we’ll leave at 8.00 AM. We’ll drive to Hunedoara in order to visit the biggest medieval castle from Romania – Hunyad Castle, dating since 14th century. Next we’ll drive to Sibiu – one of the most important medieval cities from Transylvania. Highlights: Big Square, Little Square, Orthodox and Evanghelic Cathedrals, Liars bridge, aso. Return to Brasov. Overnight at Brasov.

Day 04 Brasov – Rasnov – Bran–Bucharest (202 Kms / 3H 20M appx.)
Today we’ll visit two of the most fortified castles from south Transylvania. First one is Rasnov Fortress. Built in 1331, the Fortress had a defence role and it was a shelter for the inhabitants of Rasnov in case of enemy attacks. Continue your journey to Bran with it’s famous Bran castle. Also called Dracula’s Castle, the castle got its fame from Dracula’s legend written in 1897 by Bram Stoker and later on made into a film by Francis Ford Coppola. The first documents about the Bran Castle appeared in 1377. After the Bran Castle visit you can spend some time for souvenires shooping and then leave Transylvania and go back to Bucharest. Arriving in the afternoon. Departure transfer to onwards destination.
