This gentle cruise on the Rapti River bordering the National Park in an authentic hard carved Nepali dugout canoe is one of the great wildlife experiences in Chitwan. On this thrilling 2-hour jaunt you will have great opportunities for Bird watching, spotting the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial crocodiles as they bask on the banks, and enjoying the riverside scenery of the lower Nepal plains. If you are lucky you may have a close encounter with a rhino, as they often wander down the riverbanks to wallow in the water.
